Digital IEP Documents

The Somerville Special Education Department confirmed that families CAN request digital IEP documents. If you encounter any challenges, please reach out to Mr. Ildefonso Arellano, Director of Special Education at iarellano@k12.somerville.ma.us. The district is working on incorporating an option for families to “opt-in” to exclusively receive electronic copies of documents by the start of the 2025-2026 school year.

This website provides information for the Somerville Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) and The Friends of the Somerville Special Education Parent Advisory Council, inc. The Somerville Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) and the Friends of Somerville SEPAC, Inc. are separate legal entities. The SEPAC is the official advisory council to the district, as mandated by state law. The Friends of Somerville SEPAC is a non-profit charitable organization with a pending 501(c)(3) application.​
