Welcome to Somerville SEPAC
We're so glad you're here! The Somerville Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is dedicated to supporting families of children with disabilities in Somerville Public Schools. On this site, you'll find a wealth of information and resources designed to help you navigate the special education process and advocate for your child.
Our Mission
Our mission is to facilitate communication between students, parents, community members, administrators, and the School Committee, for the purpose of improving the quality of district-wide special education policies, programs, and practices. The Somerville SEPAC offers the opportunity to raise questions, to voice your concerns, and to provide direct input to administrators regarding Special Education.
Our Vision
A public school system with equal access to student opportunities and education for students with disabilities, where all students needs are met and are supported in realizing their full potential.
Somerville SEPAC Listening Initiative
Our advocacy strength is reliant on community voices.
The goal of this initiative is to map trends and patterns through the district as it relates to the needs of Special Education families so that we can keep an accurate pulse on the health and well being of our community and advocate accordingly.
