SSEPAC has been diving into the numbers to better understand how Special Education students are performing within SPS. DIBELS (K-5) Screener: From Ms. Kathleen Seward, Coordinator of K-8 Humanities Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, ‘DIBELS is used in K-5 for all students and iReady is used 3-8 for all students. (both 3 times a year) Those are our only universal screeners. This meets DESE requirements per the Dyslexia legislation.’ Below is a chart provided by Ms. Seward detailing DIBELS scores for ALL of K-5 SPS students:
